HeartStrings: A Day of Joy and Connection
The Rotaract Club of APIIT successfully completed project HeartStrings, a heartwarming initiative implemented with the purpose of connecting closer and providing a memorable day to the children at the Salvation Army Boys Home in Rajagiriya. This remarkable initiative that went beyond the traditional notion of service, sought to create a meaningful connection with the children by sharing a day in their lives. Our members came together for this occasion to provide a nutritious and healthy meal to the children, home cooked with love and care.
The fun and interactive games and activities played further strengthened the bond between our members and the children and fostered a sense of camaraderie that created a memorable and enjoyable atmosphere. The children were also given cards handmade by the students of the University of Staffordshire, UK, that had words of encouragement and demonstrated the care they had for these children. Project HeartStrings left a profound and undeniable impact on the hearts of both our members and the children and served as a testament to the transformative power of kindness and support.
